There was no real trigger for this post. I was just having a text conversation with one of my best friends. No need for apologies, political correctness, prefaces, footnotes or any other kind of explanation. We were just being real. Honest. Raw.
It struck me deeply how wonderful my iron sharpens iron friends are.
I’ve lived all over the world and am really blessed to have some of the greatest friends known to mankind. They live all over – New York, Canada, North Carolina, Perth, Sydney, New Zealand, Melbourne, Europe.
The thing that they all have in common is that none of these friendships were just meeting each other and deciding to stick together.
All my real friendships were born in the trenches.
All my real friendships are not limited by time or distance.
All my real friendships are the ones where I am my best version of me because of them.
Thank you… to those of you who have been in the trenches with me. For those of you who faced adversity by my side. For those of you who carried me when I was too weak to go on.
To those of you who are still walking with me, all these years on.
I love you all.
